Ayala Books is the nesting spot for all of Ayala’s books, both paperback and digital. Also carried by Ayala Books are Mr. Ayala’s albums. There may come a point where additional authors and/or composers will be able to show and sell their works through Ayala Books, but in the foreseeable future this site is reserved for the works of Ayala.
Comes from a humble background. He is the son of migrant worker who entered the United States through the Braceros program in the 1950’s. Mr. Ayala’s father worked for the railroad, and as the cook for a migrant camp in Soledad, as well as a field worker. His mother also worked as a field laborer, then later in life she owned and operated several thrift stores. Both were hardworking and family oriented people.
Mr. Ayala’s father formed his own band and played at local bars and clubs. He was both composer and lyricist for most of their material. He passed on his love of music, and ability to compose and form lyrics to his son, who also formed his own band, wrote his own music and recorded his songs under his private label in his thirties. All tolled Mr. Ayala recorded more than 30 songs under his label. The songs were written as a reflection of the times in his area, and as an outlet.
Mr. Ayala’s mother passed on her love of books, learning and storytelling. It was during the years following his retiring of his guitar that Mr. Ayala put pen to paper and began to write what would become the Attila Family series.
Mr. Ayala followed in his parent’s footsteps in that he has always been hardworking, with several jobs at the same time. He worked 23 years as an Immigration Consultant, and evenings with his band, then after retiring his band began writing in earnest. Since putting pen to paper some 20+ years ago, he has been going strong. A list of books currently being offered, as well as future editions are listed on the bottom of the “Home” page, his music albums are listed under the “Records” tab.
